SOLE is a teaching method that facilitates Inquiry Based Learning and can include Maker Mindset. A teacher encourages their class to work as a community to answer questions using computers with internet access and maker materials. Each group should have access to 1 computer to encourage collaboration and discussion.
Encourage student generated questions allowing research to address those questions. Where will this research lead to? Students choose method of presentation as they answer Global Inquiry Based Questions. Allowing student choice of presentation materials and method allows students to choose to create/make and be innovative in their presentation. Let go of control - give groups the materials and let them create. Facilitate and encourage each group. |
