Create your own jig for wiring bending and creation of a variety of shapes and jewelry. Create your own wood jigs.

Connect the dot selection for each table/group (extreme and regular versions)

Wood – 2”x6’ cut into 5 3/8” pieces ahead of time
Finishing Nails – with skinny heads, 1 lb. box
Cups – to hold nails
Hammers (16oz an/or small 8oz stubby for younger students)
Wire Cutters (Diagonal Cutters)
Wire – 20 gauge wire for practice and possible detail
Wire – 16 gauge annealed picture hanging wire – use for final project, the downside is it is harder to bend, but it will hold its shape really well
Students use line art picture or connect the dot drawing to create a unique wire jig. Students pound nails into the outline so they are able to wrap wire to create a shape.
Wood Scrap & Donations:
Lumber Yards are more than willing to support student projects and will donate wood scraps or cut wood sections for you.
Check your local Home Depot or Menards or Lumber Yard for scrap wood donations. The store may also help cut the scrap/donated pieces into the size needed.
